As a creative and driven individual with a passion for storytelling, Amalia Rizos has always been drawn to the intersection of art, culture, and community. Her journey began at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Cinema Studies and English Literature. During her time at NYU, Amalia had the opportunity to study abroad in Paris and Madrid, immersing herself in the rich cultural heritage of both cities and developing a deeper understanding of the ways in which art and architecture can shape our experiences and perceptions.
After completing her degree, Amalia began to explore her interests in marketing, design, and community engagement, taking on roles at organizations such as Sushiro and the NADA New York Art Fair. These experiences not only honed her skills in social media marketing, event planning, and customer service, but also deepened her understanding of the importance of creating engaging and welcoming experiences for diverse audiences. As a contributor to publications such as Art Spiel, Double Exposure, and Business Insider, Amalia has had the opportunity to write about contemporary art practices, cultural insights, and social impact, further solidifying her passion for storytelling and community engagement.
Today, Amalia is excited to be a part of the Qunity team, where she can combine her love of design and audience engagement to create a positive impact in Durham and beyond. She is thrilled to be working as a Marketing Coordinator, leveraging her skills and experience to tell the stories of Qunity’s innovative projects and initiatives and see the impact of her work on the company and the community.
